What is the difference between Parent Partners and the Superintendent's Parent Advisory Committee?

The Superintendent's Parent Advisory Committee is a select group of individuals personally chosen by the Superintendent. Their role is to provide specific input and feedback to the Superintendent on matters related to the school system. Membership in this committee is by invitation only.

Parent Partners, on the other hand, is an open and inclusive organization that welcomes all parents in the community, as well as residents of the City of Orange Beach, regardless of whether they have children within the school system.

Parent Partners provides an opportunity for any interested individual to actively participate, engage in open dialogue, and contribute to the mission of building a strong parent-educator partnership. We value the input and involvement of every member of our community and encourage you to join us in making a positive impact on our children's educational journey.

While both the Superintendent's Parent Advisory Committee and Parent Partners serve important roles, Parent Partners offers a broader platform for inclusive participation and dialogue among parents, educators, and community members.

Is Parent Partners a 501(c)(3) organization?

Parent Partners is currently in its infancy and is not yet a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As an emerging group focused on fostering open communication and collaboration between parents and educators, our primary goal is to provide a platform for dialogue and support within the community.

While we are not a 501(c)(3) organization at this time, we are committed to our mission of advocating for the well-being, safety, and education of children within the Orange Beach City School system. As we continue to grow, we may explore non-profit status and related opportunities in the future.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we work towards making a positive impact on our community. Rest assured that any donations or contributions we receive will be utilized transparently and responsibly to further our mission and benefit the children and families we serve.

Is Parent Partners associated with the school board?

Parent Partners is an independent organization and is not associated with the Orange Beach City School Board. However, we are dedicated to serving as advocates on behalf of parents within our community.

We understand that some parents may be unable to attend board meetings or may feel apprehensive about directly speaking to the board. As Parent Partners, we aim to bridge this gap by representing and voicing the concerns, needs, and perspectives of parents who may face these challenges.

Our role as advocates is to ensure that the voices of all parents are heard, even if they are unable to attend meetings or feel hesitant about addressing the board directly. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where parents can share their feedback, concerns, and suggestions. Through open communication and collaboration with educators and community members, we work towards fostering positive change and advocating for the best interests of our children.

If you have any concerns or issues you would like us to address on your behalf, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to support you and work together towards a stronger parent-educator partnership within the Orange Beach City School system.
